  • 1 9-inch pre-prepared or homemade pie crust, uncooked

  • 15 ounces evaporated milk

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 tablespoons corn starch or all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

If you prefer a sweeter pie, add another 1/4 cup of sugar. But if you'd like to cut back on the sweetness, use just 1 cup of sugar (or even less).

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350° Fahrenheit. In a large bowl, combine the cocoa powder, sugar, flour and salt. Stir until combined.
