Step 1

Bake your favorite yellow cake recipe, either homemade or boxed. Let it cool completely and then crumble it in a bowl with a fork.

Step 2

Add two to three tablespoons of white frosting to the cake crumbs, and mix it together until it forms a batter.

Step 3

Use a mini ice cream scoop or a heaping tablespoon to scoop the batter. Roll it into balls, and place on a parchment-lined tray.

Step 4

Melt a tablespoon of the chocolate candy melts in a small microwaveable bowl for 30 seconds. Dip each cake pop stick into the melted candy and then immediately insert it into a cake ball. Freeze the cake pops for 15 minutes to firm up their shape.

Step 5

Remove the cake pops from the freezer. Melt the remaining chocolate candy melts in a tall mug or glass, and then dip each cake pop into the melted candy. Let the excess drip off, then gently press each cake pop onto the parchment-lined tray to create a flat edge that will serve as the top of the cauldron.

Step 6

Let the cake pops cool until the candy coating is completely hardened, then stick them right-side up in a cake pop stand or some floral foam. Pipe a mound of yellow decorating icing in the center of each cake pop.

Step 7

Cut the Airhead rainbow candy belts into small diagonal segments — this will help them stand upright — and stick one in the center of each yellow icing mound. Garnish each cake pop with gold candy pearls.
