Things You’ll Need

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten

Step 1

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar and baking soda. Whisk well.
